From me to You

In Reading class today, we had to make a free verse poem in the form of a letter. One nature element had to be talking to another. Here is the poem I made all by my lonesome.

From me to you

Hello Sun,
From me to you,
Shining big and bright.

I came to say,
Move away!
But not mean in any way.

You may be large and pretty,
But I want to shine, too,
And now it is my turn,
To go in front of you.

The sky is big enough for two,
But you like to take the spotlight,
I'd like to, too.

All this message says is this;
I'd like to make this afternoon,
A cloudy one,
Because clouds get their chances,too.
